Seminar Description and Syllabus
The seminar covers current research in the area of software security and Internet security.
An overview of current topics is available in the seminar system.
Topics include, but are not limited to, for example:
- Program Analysis for Software Security
- Software Defenses
- Vulnerability Discovery and Automatic Exploitation
- Measurements of Internet Security Issues
- Internet Network Protocol Design, Deployment and Abuse Issues
Goals
Students will learn how to analyze a research area in the areas of software security or Internet security on their own, how to systematize the knowledge, and they will produce an overarching conclusive literature review report.
Prerequisites
Prior IT security knowledge is required.
Prior knowledge in software security and program analysis, or network security and networking is recommended.
